This Shine A Light Sunday, I want to introduce you to Tiger Mimic - formed in 2018 they immediately started recording their debut EP 'Elephant Skeleton' with Grammy Award winning producer Matt Lawrence (Van Morrison, Mumford & Sons, Amy Winehouse), which was then released in January of 2019.
They've already established themselves "ones to watch" on the London scene with an impressive set at the sold-out debut Cro Cro Land Festival in April 2019; The Brighton Mix-Up (Great Escape Fringe); Camden Crush (Camden Rocks Fringe); and getting selected to support UK veterans Republica in November 2019.
Since their first EP they've now signed to 31% Wool Management & Records and have been working on new material with producer Kevin Vanbergen (Kid Kapichi, Nova Twins) to be released in the 2020's.
We've only seen one glimpse of their new material so far with the release of the first single under their new label 'It Was Still Dark' (video below).
'It Was Still Dark' has seen a real growth in terms of sound and production for Tiger Mimic. It's as if the shackles have been strewn in this scintillatingly, sultry, devilishly brilliant song.
If you're a fan of alt-pop/indie, with hints of punk then this is a band you need to get in your ears around.
